Make Money Online Part II: WebAnswers

Updated on July 1, 2013

WebAnswers is a Question & Answer website, which shows Google Ads. It supports AdSense Revenue Sharing. WebAnswers is the BEST WAY OF EARNING MONEY ONLINE. It is just like Wiki Answers and Yahoo! Answers.

WebAnswers shares 60% of the revenue generated on your awarded answers’ page with you. Awarded answer is chosen by the questioner. It can be called as the best answer. If your answer is selected as the awarded answer, then you receive 60% of the revenue generated by ad clicks on that page. Rest will be taken by WebAnswers. If a visitor comes to the question, where your answer is chosen as the best, and the visitor clicks on an ad, then a certain amount of revenue is earned. Out of that amount, 60% is given to you, and 40% is taken by WebAnswers.

Open Questions

‘Open Questions’ are those which are not awarded to anyone. In the case of Open Question, some percentage of revenue is shared equally among all the answer providers to that question. The questioner (the one who has asked) also gets some % of revenue generated by ad clicks on that page.

Awarded Questions

‘Awarded Questions’ are those which can no longer be answered; which have already got the best answer. However, you can post a comment to awarded questions.

If you have a low Quality Score, your CPC (Cost Per Click) will be low, which means you will not earn as much as you should per ad click. Your Quality Score will be good if you post at least 10+ good and informative answers daily.

Creating a Referral Link

Go to any of the page of WebAnswers. My Account page is the best, as it will lead a visitor to login/signup page. Go to the bottom of the page, and click on ‘Link to This Page’. Select the Tracking Token, and copy the URL. Edit the HTML Link Title, if you want a ‘text banner’ link. Copy the URL and promote it on different websites. Click here to know some tips to promote the Referral Links (hubs as well).

50 countries’ people cannot use WebAnswers for applying an account to AdSense. However, they can associate their existing AdSense account to their WebAnswers Account. The people of those 50 countries can participate in answering and asking questions.

Bot Questions

Bot Questions are those questions, which are not asked by Real Users. They are asked by ‘system’ or ‘bot’. Bot is shorthand for Robot. Bot Questions are generally retrieved from Yahoo! Answers and Wiki Answers. Bot Questions have potential for generating more revenue. The keywords present in the Bot Questions are highly searched in Google. I recommend everyone to answer Bot Questions as well.

How to Identify Bot Questions

· If the question has no ‘description’.

· If the user who has asked the question has answered no questions.

Generally, the first point can easily help to identify a bot question. But, I suggest you to not to waste your time on finding whether the question is asked by a bot. Instead, go on answering questions you see.

Tips for Finding Questions to Answer

· Go to Homepage’s 30 Unanswered Questions, and answer them. The link will be titled as “Answer 30 Unasnwered Questions from WebAnswers.com”.

· Go to the category where you have knowledge about.

· Search on the Search Box using highly searched keywords on Search Engines.

· Leave the Search Box blank and Search. It will load answered and unanswered questions both, which will be easy for answering.

Quality Score

‘Quality Score’ is the main factor for users. The better your Quality Score, the better your earnings. Quality Score of a user is kept secret; that means no user knows his/her Quality Score. Quality Score is lowered by the following factors:

· Inactiveness of the user

· Copying Answers from other sources

· Short Answers

· Improper Grammar

· Posting Inappropriate Content

Referral Program

WebAnswers has a Referral Program for its members. This program helps you earn extra income for AdSense. You need to refer users to WebAnswers. Tracking Tokens are unique codes which are used in Referral Links. You can create as many Tracking Tokens as you like. Creating different tracking tokens are really useful. Create a tracking token similar to the name of Hub Pages if you are going to promote that Referral Link on Hub Pages. Tracking Tokens will show the number of clicks on the link (Traffic Impressions), and the number of registrations (Signups). A tracking token will be created by WebAnswers itself, which will be set as default.
