Ways to Promote Your Hubs

Updated on September 10, 2012

Each time you publish a hub, you wait for comments and lots of views to come. But, views will come in a huge amount only if you promote them. There are many ways to promote your hubs.

By promoting your hubs, there will be high chances of more Ad Clicks, and increment in your earnings. Most of the users just publish the hub, and then wait for views. Just by publishing a hub cannot give you money. You need to make your hubs popular, so that they keep on getting views, and ad clicks too.

In this hub, I am going to discuss some ways to promote and increase traffic/views to your hubs:

1. Share it in Reddit first!

There is a website called Reddit and it is ranked 118th worldwide. This site will seem a bit awkward to you, but it has a lot of potential in providing you views. Go to the site and join it. Click on Submit Link and enter a proper title and provide the URL of your latest hub. Fill in rest of the boxes and submit. Refresh it time to time, and you will see “Vote Ups” and “Vote Downs” in blue and red colors at the right pane of that page. If you have more vote ups, and less vote downs, you will continue getting page views. Once you have many vote ups and good comments, it will appear under “hot” tab according to the “sub reddit” you chose. Once it comes under the hot tab, I am sure you will have thousands of views!

2. Login to Su.pr website

To sign in to this website, you need to have a Stumble Upon account. Make an account there, and login to su.pr. Once you login, configure the settings of Facebook and Twitter. Now, at the Submit Link box, paste the hub’s URL, and post it (you can even add some text to it). After that, you can THUMB it UP, which will make your link more detailed. If you have enabled Twitter and Facebook, then the link will directly be shared on them. This will provide you at least 50 to 60 views, and if it is featured in the Stumble Upon website, you will have loads of views!

3. Share it on your Facebook’s Friends wall who have loads of friends

This trick can work, and will work if you have some Facebook friends who have got many active friends. Copy the link of your hub, and give a good description about it on that status. Then, post it. You can even post it on your own wall (update your own status). Do not frequently post links or they may get annoyed.

4. Share it on Google Plus

Google Plus is a great place for me! I often post links there, and frequently find new friends to add in My Circles. Go to Home, and paste the link, give a good title and publicly share it. That will surely give you some views if you have a good amount of people in your circle.

5. Add Summary to your Hub

Many users do not add summary to their hubs. Adding summary will make your hub more organized. The sentences you write as a summary will appear as a description in the Google Search Result for that link (of your hub). To add Summary, edit your hub, and on the right pane, click on “summary” and then write a few good attractive lines and then publish it.

6. Reply each comment you get on your hubs

Google usually likes the pages which have long content. Have you ever thought why Wikipedia comes in the top of the search result each time you search a term? It is because each of the Wikipedia’s articles is more than 600 words! Some are above 10,000 words!

If someone posts a comment, then the content will increase as that comment has words. If you reply that comment, then more words will be added to the article. In this way the content of the page increases, and it will come in better rank in the Search result.

7. Increase your followers on HubPages

Be more active in the HubPages. Post answers, questions, responses on forum threads, comments etc. Doing so will give you accolades, and you’ll be known by many users in the HubPages. They will even view your profile, see some of your hubs, and follow you.

Share others’ hubs, flag inappropriate or low quality hubs, rate the hubs, etc. are some of the things you could do to increase your hubscore. Follow good hubbers and leave fan mails to the ones you liked very much.
